BOLD in Action

What does it really mean for a woman to be bold today?

Across many leadership spaces, women still have to negotiate their way into rooms that were not originally designed with them in mind. Yet within JCI, the story has often been different. From its earliest days, the organisation has created pathways for women to step forward, take responsibility, and lead with conviction.

Unlike many leadership organisations where women still struggle to rise, JCI Nigeria has consistently proven to be a platform that supports and empowers women to lead and create meaningful change.

In our sixty-nine years of existence, JCI Nigeria has produced eight female National Presidents, a powerful reflection of the inclusive and progressive spirit of our organisation.

These women did more than just hold titles; they expanded possibilities and changed industries and organisational settings. Their courage, vision, and service continue to inspire others to step forward, accept responsibility, and make their voices heard.

JCI Ibadan has also contributed to this legacy of women in leadership, producing 3 female Presidents whose leadership has shaped the direction and strength of our organisation over the years.

This year’s International Women’s Month theme, “ Rights. Justice. Action.” reminds us that progress does not happen by chance. It requires courage, conviction, and the willingness to act.

In this edition, we celebrate women who inspire, spotlight businesses that are making an impact, and share voices that continue to strengthen the culture of leadership within JCI Ibadan.
